Paracetamol misusing to dental pain: a case-report and recommandations for treatment

Patients self-medicating with for pain had 12.8 more times lead overdose than patients other pains. aim of this work was propose a standardized management in case from clinical report. Observation: A 56-year-old man referred General Emergency Department because he ingested 32 grams less 24 hours due He state haemodynamic and hypothermic shock. placed on liver transplant list fulminant hepatitis. check-up found juxta-pulpal carious lesions four wisdom teeth which were removed before transplantation. Conclusion: Paracetamol one leading causes failure. estimated toxic dose 150 mg/kg/day or about 10 g/day. N-acetylcysteine treatment should be leaded early, between 8 after ingestion. paracetamol-aminotransferase, as risk prediction tool, reproductibles methods biomarkers can identify overdoses faster medical care.
